DNPA Code of Ethics

Purpose:
At Trend Times News, we uphold the highest ethical standards across all facets of our operations. This policy ensures that every member of our team conducts themselves with integrity, adheres to applicable laws and regulations, and refrains from actions driven by personal gain.

Gifts, Favors, and Payments:

Gifts, favors, and payments provided by Trend Times News must align with accepted business practices, have limited value, comply with the law, and avoid embarrassing the company upon disclosure. Payments or compensation to associates of customers without a written contract are strictly prohibited.

Gifts, Favors, Entertainment, and Payments Received:

Associates are prohibited from seeking or accepting gifts, favors, entertainment, or payments without a legitimate business purpose, especially from entities doing or seeking to do business with Trend Times News. Exceptions include common business courtesies and small-value gifts, but strict standards apply, particularly regarding gifts from suppliers.

Conflicts of Interest:

Associates must avoid situations where personal interests conflict with those of Trend Times News and promptly disclose any such conflicts to their manager. This includes ownership in external enterprises that conduct business with or compete against Trend Times News, as well as holding positions with competitors.

Confidential Information:

Unauthorized disclosure or use of confidential information is strictly prohibited. Misuse will result in disciplinary action, potentially including termination.

Compliance:

Violations of this policy will lead to disciplinary action, including termination if necessary. Associates are obligated to report any policy violations they become aware of to appropriate management.

Social Media Guidelines:

Introduction:
Social media posts are considered public statements with lasting impact. Associates must exercise good judgment and adhere to company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Be Careful What You Post:

Associates are personally responsible for their online activity. Inappropriate content may result in disciplinary action, including termination. Posts should clearly distinguish personal viewpoints from those representing Trend Times News.

Be Respectful and Professional:

Maintain professionalism and courtesy in all communications. Avoid posts that could be deemed offensive, threatening, or harassing. Respect the privacy of others and refrain from sharing false or misleading information.

Be Honest and Accurate:

Accuracy is paramount. Associates should promptly correct any mistakes and be transparent about changes made to previous posts.

Respect Laws and Confidentiality:

Adhere to all legal and confidentiality requirements, including copyright and privacy laws. Associates must not disclose confidential company information without proper authorization.

Report Your Concerns:

Promptly report any concerns regarding potential policy violations to Human Resources. Trend Times News prohibits retaliation against employees who report violations in good faith.

Plagiarism and Fairness:

Plagiarism is strictly prohibited at Trend Times News. Reporters must ensure fairness by providing all parties involved in a story with an opportunity to respond adequately.
